A commercial verses off beat film clash in the box office from 30th April. Veteran director with national and international fame M.S.Sathyu back in the saddle in ‘Ijjodu’ a film by Reliance Big Pictures is pitted against a remake film ‘Ullasa Uthsaha’.

Meera Jasmine, Anirudh, Nagkiran star in the MS Sathyu film ‘Ijjodu’ that has music from Manikanth Khadri and cinematography from GS Bhasker. The remake of super hit Telugu film ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’ by Kannada producers BP Somu and BP Thyagu – ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ starring golden star Ganesh and Yami Gautham has Devaraj Palan debut direction. GV Prakash Kumar scores music in Kannada version.

‘Ijjodu’ is a subject based on the Devadasi system that is still prevailing in Karnataka is the debut production for the big business house of India, Reliance Big Pictures. The film ‘Ullasa Uthsaha’ Telugu version was also produced by duo producer Somu and Thyagu that shows a careless youth falling in love and later transforming in life.

‘Ijjodu’ is releasing in a few theatres while the popular star Ganesh’s ‘Ullasa Uthsaha’ is releasing in 40 plus theatres all over Karnataka.

Suresh Hanagal’s ‘Preethi Nee Heegeke’ is another minimum budget film releasing on this Friday in at least 10 theatres.
